DIY Ball Run

DIY Ball Run 🎢 This ball run is so easy to make with just paper towel rolls and painter’s tape. 🙌🏼 I played with this for half an hour the night I made it, even though Norah was asleep, because it was a blast!! 🚀 All you need to do is cut 2-3 paper towel rolls in half, and tape one edge of each to the wall or glass, so that they create a cascading run for a ball to roll down. Test the run with a ping pong ball or ball pit ball—the ball should roll back and forth down the rolls. Let baby discover how to roll balls down the run, and place a basket underneath to catch the balls!

This play hack is great for older babies and toddlers, and younger babies may enjoy watching the ball roll when you place it on the run. If you have noticed your baby or toddler has been very interested in moving objects, this is a great idea to try. Baby may decide to rip this off the wall, you can try placing it back again, try again later, or just move on. I love play ideas like this because even if baby only plays a couple minutes, that is okay, it was basically free to make! 🤗 Originally saw this done by @play_at_home_mummy !
