Pom Pom Sensory Bag

Pom Pom sensory bag! Make tummy time more interesting and a learning experience with this easy sensory bag! This engages baby through touch by feeling the forms of the pom poms and the feeling of the water, and the bright colors engage them visually.

It is great for babies to experience different colors and textures early on, when a lot of items are choking hazards, and this will hold their attention. This is best for babies who can lift their heads and arms during tummy time up to babies who are learning to sit for longer periods of time. But older babies and toddlers will enjoy it as well! This is an activity that would work well if you have a toddler and a baby.

All you need is a gallon bag, water, pom poms, and tape.

Fill the gallon bag with a few cups of water. Freezer grade bags are a little more durable than regular gallon bags.

Add Pom poms (I got a very cheap large bag at Michaels).

Close the bag, tape it closed as well, and then tape the bag down to the floor (try painters tape if you are worried about residue).

For toddlers you don’t have to tape it down, but you will want to supervise closely! I like to leave a sensory bag out for a while so we can come back to it later. When you are done with the bag you can dump it and let the Pom poms dry and use them again.
