Ribbon Tugging Lid

Ribbon tugging lid! For babies who love pulling and mouthing, this idea will keep them occupied and help them with hand eye coordination! I love this play hack from @busytoddler!

To recreate it I took a tupperware lid that I lost the base to and poked holes with a knife (or you can use scissors). I threaded some ribbon through and tied both ends so they wouldn't slip out.

So easy and a great "toy" for developing motor skills! You could even make this when baby is a newborn and hang it above her as a mobile, then graduate it to a toy when she is older! You can use almost any leftover ribbon, but avoid ribbons with wires in them.

To seal the ends to prevent fraying, quickly run the ribbon ends over a lighter flame. I have not tried this with a baby who isn't sitting yet, but I think even our sweet pre-sitters would like to get in on some ribbon pulling, try dangling it a bit in front of baby! This activity should be supervised.
